The petitioner contended that Shahbaz had grabbed money from him and about 400 other persons in worth of million of rupees but the respondent NAB officials filed a single reference to favour the accused. He contended that the respondent officials had taken this action illegally, unconstitutionally and with mala fide intention. He prayed to the court to direct the respondent officials to file separate references against Shahbaz for each affected person before the accountability court.
The court, after hearing the petitioner at length, issued notice to respondent NAB officials.notices issueD to revenue officials.
The Lahore High Court (LHC) has directed Executive District Officer (Revenue), Gujrat, to hold inquiry into the matter of petitioner Muhammad Nazir who filed a contempt petition against the revenue officials who ignored the court orders. The court also directed him to submit his report to the court within fortnight.
The petitioner through his counsel M.D. Tahir contended that the respondent revenue officials grabbed his land in the name of consolidation and allotted the same to other persons.
He said the court had directed the respondent officials to act in accordance with the law and redress the grievance of the petitioner. The petitioner approached the respondents, but they ignored the court orders and refused to redress his grievance.
The petitioner, therefore, approached the court through contempt of court petition and prayed for initiating contempt of court proceedings against them for ignoring the court orders.
The court, after hearing the petitioner's counsel at length, issued notices to the respondents and directed EDO Gujrat to hold inquiry into the matter personally and submit his report to the court.
NON-BAILABLE ARREST WARRANTS OF SHO:
The Lahore High Court (LHC) has issued non-bailable arrest warrants of SHO Kasur-B Division Police Station Muhammad Zafar and directed district police officer (DPO) Kasur to produce him before the court on December 1.
The court passed these orders in a bail matter of parliamentary secretary Muhammad Ahmed Khan. The applicant was involved in a case pertaining to torturing the assistant election commissioner Kasur.
The court had called for a report from the respondent SHO but he failed to appear before the court even after repeated notices. The court taking serious note of delinquency of the respondent SHO issued his non-bailable arrest warrants and directed DPO to produce him before the court.
